The trip to JFK went by very quickly. It's nice traveling on a holiday.
Checked in. Through security. Time for lunch.
We arrived in New Orleans right on time. It was great to not be cold and not see white wherever you look.
After dropping off our luggage at the hotel we had dinner at Popeye's and headed to St. Charles Ave. Presbyterian Church for orientation.
We found out that we are going to be working in New Orleans East which was one of the hardest hit areas during Katrina and also one of the slowest to recover.
